What is dried ivy leaf extract and what is it used for?
- It is a herbal medicinal product used as an expectorant in cases of productive cough in adults, adolescents and children from the age of two.
- This syrup loosens phlegm and relieves tiring, intermittent coughs by clearing the airways. It also relieves shortness of breath associated with bronchitis.
Do not consume dried ivy leaf extract:
- If you are allergic to ivy leaves, to plants of the Araliaceae (Ivy) family
- Children under two years of age due to the risk of worsening respiratory symptoms
Warnings and precautions:
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist:
- If children aged 2-4 years have a persistent or recurring cough
- If there is difficulty breathing, fever, or purulent phlegm (containing pus)
- If symptoms do not improve within 7 days of using the medication
- If you are taking other cough suppressants (opioid cough suppressants such as codeine or dextromethorphan).
- If you suffer from stomach problems (gastritis and stomach ulcers)
- If you suffer from kidney or liver failure

Other medicines and dried ivy leaf extract:
- Its effect on the effect of other drugs has not been reported.
How to take dried ivy leaf extract:
- For adults over 18 years of age: The usual dose is 5-10 ml three times a day.
- For children between 6-12 years: The usual dose is 5 ml twice daily.
- Use the provided measuring cup for the correct dose.
- It should be taken undiluted and regardless of meals.
- During the day you should drink plenty of water or other warm, caffeine-free beverages.
How to store dried ivy leaf extract:
- Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package after "EXP".
- The expiry date refers to the last day of the same month.
- Do not store above 25 degrees Celsius.
- The medical product can be used 6 weeks after opening the bottle.
- Any unused medical product or waste must be disposed of in accordance with local requirements.
